WHAT WE WANT: A senior administrator to join the development operations team in London, and will be focused on building a new Sportsbook solution for Bodog and also support current data warehouse solutions. This role will be involved in design, implementation, rollout and monitoring of various critical systems.

Specifically you will...

  • Provide operational support to critical Sportsbook applications and real time data warehouse systems
  • Be actively engaged in the design and implementation of new Sportsbook system
  • Be actively involved in software roll out and triage support
  • Monitor application performance and thrive on running the system smooth 24/7
  • Expert in troubleshooting application availability and performance issues
  • Provide timely and consistent support, acknowledging and recording all incidents and requests and providing reports on the state of environments
  • Monitor and escalate requests as required
  • Create documentation, work with Jira to provide escalation workflows and accurate incident recording
  • Manage multiple development and test environments and keep that synchronized with the production environment.
  • Develop best practices for ongoing systems capacity and performance management to keep up with the demands of a growing organization

What you need...

  • At least 5 years minimum Linux and Windows professional experience
  • Excellent knowledge of:
    • Linux/Unix/RHEL including process management
    • TCP/IP and associated services (e.g., DNS, DHCP)
    • Apache/Tomcat/JBoss or other web servers
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Exposure to a Java environment and Java Technologies (ie. basic grasp of JEE concepts, current technologies and frameworks)
  • Experience in software version tracking across multiple environments
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Exposure to build tools and concepts such as Maven, Ant and Bash/SH
  • ITIL certification would be an asset
  • Very organized and used to work with software versioning
  • Ability to provide 3rd tier support
  • Basic programming experience – an understanding of code and coding concepts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Related education/certification
